2023 SWRM AWARD WINNERS

The Oklahoma Chemist Award is a once-in-a-lifetime honor awarded to chemists who have established national and international reputations in the advancement of chemistry and science. 

RECIPIENT:  George Richter-Addo

 Recognizes individuals and/or institutions that have advanced diversity in the chemical sciences and significantly stimulated or fostered activities that promote inclusiveness within the ACS Southwest Region.

RECIPIENT:  Florastina Payton-Stewart

 Recognizes a person who has made meritorious contributions to the advancement of chemistry, chemical engineering, chemical education, either pure or applied, or to the profession in general.

RECIPIENT:  John Pojman

 Recognizes the volunteer efforts of individuals who have served the ACS, contributing significantly to the goals and objectives of the Society through their regional activities.

RECIPIENT:  Jingbo L. Liu

Recognizes, encourages, and stimulates outstanding teachers of high school chemistry.

RECIPIENT:  Cindy Welch
