Spectral imaging using EELS and EFTEM

Join Baylor University and Gatan for a workshop on spectral imaging using electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and energy-filtered transmission electron microscopy (EFTEM).
This workshop will demonstrate how the BioContinuum® HD integrated with the Thermo Fisher Scientific Spectra 300C microscope enables an easy and reliable method of characterizing various material systems with EFTEM and STEM spectrum imaging.
Each session includes:
• Lecture on the basic theory of EELS
• Survey of EELS applications
•Live demonstration of how EFTEM and EELS spectrum images are acquired using the Continuum spectrometer with DigitalMicrograph® software
The workshop will take place at the Center for Microscopy and Imaging (CMI) at Baylor University in the Baylor Sciences
